Duties:

 

As a Regional Rehab Director you will:

·         Effectively attract and select other therapists to join regional therapy team.

·         Evaluate the performance of all regional therapy team members. Collaborate with team members to ensure an appropriate match between patient needs and the skills/abilities of the care team.

·         Coordinate care/communication between team members, attending physicians, appropriate administrative staff, referral sources and case managers to ensure appropriateness of care, and facilitate any necessary changes to the plan of care. Review and interpret patient progress reports and provide clear and actionable findings to physicians. 

·         Proactively facilitate coordination of ancillary/paraprofessional services and assist with transition of patient care from a facility to residence as needed.

·         Promote therapy growth in revenue and profitability. Manage resource allocation (care/services and supplies) within budgetary and Care Protocol restraints. Maintain marketplace therapy information to assist sales team in assessing business opportunities. Provide input to business/market plans, budgets, cost analyses, etc. 

·         Assist sales team with clinical review of therapy for customers or any other related marketing duties, including meeting with potential customers to develop relationships.

·         Assist Specialty Program team in the rollout of new therapy programs.

·         Collaborate with DOCS to manage the relationships between service demands and availability of therapy team.

·         Monitor therapy team's case load and schedule to ensure optimum care is provided without interruption. Participate in on-call schedule as needed.

·         Ensure compliance with standards/company policies/procedures and external regulatory requirements. Ensure that team member's clinical documentation meets these requirements.

·         Maintain most current clinical knowledge through training and other learning opportunities and ensure knowledge transfer with other team members takes place

Qualifications:

 

Qualifications for position of Regional Rehab Director:

·         Degree and licensure in the state (s) of practice for physical therapist, occupational therapist or speech language pathologist with a minimum of three years experience in at least one of the following: Rehabilitation, Medical Surgical or Sub-specialty Units such as Oncology, Endocrine, Orthopedic, Cardiopulmonary, Gerontology or Neurology preferred.

·         Experience leading an interdisciplinary care/rehabilitation team.

·         Demonstrated ability to attract and retain other therapists.

·         Experience in a community/homecare setting.

·         One year's experience in a supervisory role preferred.

·         Current CPR certification required.
